In America, scientists have developed an artificial eye which like the Solar panels is charging with the light. Before this, scientists have developed like this artificial and mechanical eye, but they need battery for charging which was very complicated work for the uneducated and senior citizens. In this eye with the help of special glasses the rays like infrared are sent into eyes. Through this transplanted retina gets the power and necessary information as patient can see properly (Source 1).

In old age, most of the people’s eyes are defected and symptoms are appeared. This happens because the cells of eye are die through which man receives the light. And slowly man becomes blind.

In this artificial eye, Retina is transplant and the patient’s strength of vision is increased manifold. The details of this eye are published in the research scientist magazine “Nature Photonics”. This magazine runs under the supervision of experienced professors of the University of Stanford, America.

In Britain, first of all artificial Retina were initially tested which found that two completely blind people are now able to see and distinguish between colors. But, in these tests besides a chip in retina, a battery was also installed behind the ear and they were connected with the help of wire. The experts at Stanford say that this is revolutionary achievement because this will eliminate the complexities of electronics and cables. In this method, transplant retina works like solar panel which is put back of the eye. After that, the pair of glasses which is attached with the video camera records all the activities in front of the eye and convert them in rays like infrared( Source 2). These rays are sent towards the retina. Yet, this artificial retina has not been tested on the humans. However, the experience is successful on rats.
